Synergy 2010

With generous support from the Emanuel Vincent Harris Trust and the Santander Foundation we are now on our way of meeting our long term aim for Synergy with funding enabling us to deliver the programme over 2010-2011.   The Synergy 2010 programme is now up and running , working with current partners The Winchester Project, Camden Leaving Care, Camden Youth Offending and Reparation Group and Queen's Crescent Community Association and the Genesis Youth Project.  We shall be providing young people from these organisations with an arts development programme in a range of art forms which will develop key life skills, discover new talents and raise aspirations.  Over the course of the project we will be bringing the groups together at sharing events supported by the Camden Roundhouse and at the Bloomsbury Festival 2010.  This will also enable partner organisation workers to share their experiences on the project as well as providing a network for them to exchange knowledge and skills.   Synergy Artist

As part of the integrational aim of the project a steering committee will be formed from members of each group of young people.  They will lead on the delivery of project events and be given training in leadership techniques, conflict resolution and personally tailored creative development sessions with professional artists.  This will enable them to lead their groups acting as positive role models for other group members.

As a forward thinking company we want to  develop a holistic approach to supporting young people in our local community of Camden.  The Synergy programme will enable us to demonstrate  the importance of addressing human needs such as confidence, communication, aspiration and understanding, alongside those of housing, employment and health, providing a package which will give our young people the best possible start on a positive life path.
