Stories, Songs and Tastes of food
Fortune, Pan's group of young refugees and asylum seekers, worked on the subject of FOOD for the last year, researching their food memories, looking at how they create their food here in the UK, and wondering how this changes the British cuisine.

They created promenade performances and installations at Chats Palace & Rose Bruford College, and have now released a DVD and a bookcreated by the participants.Available from Pan

Fortune, Pan's group of young refugees and asylum seekers, have been working on the subject of FOOD for the last year. In particular they have been researching their own food memories, looking at how they create their food here in the UK, and wondering how this changes the British cuisine. If fish and chips were introduced by Portuguese Jewish refugees and chicken tikka masala invented by immigrant populations in Glasgow, then how will Fortune's varied foods change the UK's multi-faceted cuisine.

Now there is a DVD of the performance and some research interviews. More interviews will be released soon and some are available on our website.

A book of the project, created by the participants, has also been published.

Both are available from our office. Call 0207 8332111
