Rehearsing Futures with Trafficked Women
14 December 2010
We are delighted that Comic Relief has given a two year grant to our work with young women trafficked for sexual exploitation.60 women will be participants in regular workshops using theatre skills to build self confidence, self expression and creativity. By imagining positive futures for themselves and role playing how to overcome obstacles which stand in their way, we aim to take them from the trauma of trafficking to planning for a fulfilling future life.
This is a collaboration with The Poppy Project who are specialists in this field, and with whom our female artists have run very successful pilot projects.
